Man (30s) arrested as 14 phones and €11,060 cash seized in prostitution probe
Gardaí said the investigation is into “persons suspected of being involved” in the organisation of prostitution, brothel keeping and money laundering
A man has been arrested and cash and phones have been seized as part of a garda probe into prostitution, brothel keeping and money laundering In Dublin.
The seizures were made yesterday during searches conducted by the Organised Prostitution Investigation Unit of the Garda National Protective Services Bureau (GNPSB).
During the operation, assistance was also provided by the Garda Human Trafficking Investigation and Co-ordination Unit attached to the GNPSB.

Gardaí said the investigation is into “persons suspected of being involved” in the organisation of prostitution, brothel keeping and money laundering in the greater Dublin area.
The man, who is in his 30s, arrested as part of this investigation is currently being detained in a Dublin city Garda station under organised crime legislation.
During the course of a follow-up search in the North County Dublin area, €11,060 in cash was seized along with 14 mobile phones and various documents.
A garda spokesman said the GNPSB investigation is focused “on victim identification and intervention along with the dismantling of this transnational organised crime group through the removal and seizure of assets and the prosecution of members.”
Investigations are ongoing.
