Police in West Chester, Pennsylvania responded to a report of sexual assault at a residence in the borough last Wednesday afternoon, 22 November.
An Irish man has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman after entering her home by posing as a contractor in the US.
Police in West Chester, Pennsylvania responded to a report of sexual assault at a residence in the borough last Wednesday afternoon, 22 November.
Officers met with a woman who reported that three men were knocking on doors in the area advertising home repairs.
She stated that one of the men introduced himself as ‘Jimmy’ and told her that he was a contractor.
The victim said he handed her a business card for Everest Roofing & Masonry and began discussing potential home repairs before he entered her home and began sexually assaulting her.
West Chester Police officers contacted the phone number on the business card and arranged a meeting with the phony contractors. Two of the three fraudsters met at the agreed address and were immediately taken into custody.
An investigation team later found that Everest Roofing & Masonry was nonexistent, with the accused using the fraudulent business to scam homeowners in the area.
The bogus contractors wore ID Badges on lanyards around their necks and had business cards and forms with them.
